Ottawa County mental health board looking at options after split
PORT CLINTON - Ottawa County's mental health board is considering its options and has reached out to the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties after the break up of its alliance with Erie County's mental health board.
Ottawa County Commissioner Mark Stahl said Thursday the county was considering whether to stay alone with a single mental health board or join the Sandusky/Seneca/Wyandot board as a fourth county in that organization.
"We're looking to spread the administrative costs out," Stahl said.
Mircea Handru, executive director of the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties, could not be reached for comment Monday.
