Town of Mexico, N.Y. — A call about a person in crisis at an Oswego County park has prompted a lockout at Mexico-area schools.
Officers were called to Mexico Community Park around 5:15 a.m. to speak with a man who was believed suicidal and possibly armed, an Oswego County 911 dispatcher said. Six hours later, officers remain at the park on Route 104 in the town of Mexico, he said.
The man is suicidal and is in his car in the park, said Trooper Jack Keller, New York State Police spokesman. Route 104 is closed between Emery and Standpipe roads.
