Oregon lawmakers approve extended deadline for tenants to repay missed rent

Oregon tenants who have fallen behind on their rent during the coronavirus pandemic may soon have more time to pay off the debt.
A bill that would give residential tenants until the end of February 2022 to repay missed rent accumulated during the pandemic passed the Oregon House 39-17 on Tuesday and is now on its way to Gov. Kate Brown’s desk for final approval.
