EUGENE — Three Oregon players have medically retired and are no longer with the program.
Offensive linemen Chris Randazzo and Jonah Tauanu’u and inside linebacker Sampson Niu all medically retired, Oregon coach Mario Cristobal announced Thursday.
Randazzo, a redshirt-sophomore, opted out of the 2020 season. A former three-star signee in 2018, Randazzo played in one game, against Nevada in 2019, during his two seasons at UO.
Niu, a senior, did not play last season and his mother passed away in January. He had 65 career tackles in 33 career games.
