Greece’s Development Minister Adonis Georgiadis said on Tuesday said that more time should be considered before a hard lockdown is imposed Athens and Attica. He stressed that the results of the tightening over the measures since last Saturday should be awaited.
“More time should be given” Georgiadis said short after the Health Minister announced that he will recommend a hard lockdown in Attica, similar to the one in March 2020.
“Such a recommendation will obviously be taken very seriously when it comes from the health minister, who is responsible,” Georgiadis said. He added, however, that he is “not sure what a ‘generalized’ lockdown means when the country is already on lockdown.”
