Order of Cochrane for farmers' market head

Cochrane is celebrating farmers market director Valerie McCracken after she was named to the Order of Cochrane, the town’s highest civic honor.
“Ms. McCracken is without question one of Cochrane’s most outstanding citizens,” said mayor Jeff Genung.

“She stands for everything we aspire to in Cochrane. She is one of this community’s most active volunteers, some refer to her as a ‘professional volunteer’.”
Normally, the naming of the annual recipient of the Order of Cochrane is the finale of the Cochrane Community Awards gala held annually in the spring. The process for 2020 had been delayed amidst the onset of COVID-19.
