‘BORDER BAN’: SA closes its borders to Greater Melbourne26/05/2021|5min
South Australia has closed its borders to anybody coming from Greater Melbourne as of 6pm on Wednesday night as the city’s northern suburbs cluster grows to 15.
South Australian Premier Steven Marshall said the only people exempted from the border ban were “essential travellers” with appropriate permits and returning South Australians who will subject themselves to 14 days of quarantine.
“There are essential travellers coming to South Australia with permission and they will need to be in quarantine, except for the time they are undertaking activity for which they have received that exemption,” he said.
