The Bayelsa state government has placed an indefinite ban on the activities of the Opu Nembe Council of Chiefs and the youth council of the troubled community. According to a statement issued by the state information, orientation and strategy commissioner, Mr. Ayiba Duba, the measure became necessary following the uproar that rocked and breached the law on August 12, 2023.
