As traders and businesses across the county welcomed people back, one charity shop had an extra reason to celebrate.
OpShop in Denton Holme, Carlisle, was delighted to be celebrating 30 years of serving the community as they welcomed back customers for the first time in months.
Manager, Andy Blake, said that it was a busy day for the team as the sunshine and anticipation of that first dose of retail therapy brought people out in their droves.
"We had a few people waiting outside our door ten minutes before we opened, just desperate to come in," said Andy.
"I think people are just desperate to have a bit of normality and got to shops to spend money and see people again.
