Opioid crisis in Philly shows no signs of abating, Kensington nonprofit says

The opioid crisis has grown substantially since the COVID-19 pandemic began, research shows. In Philadelphia, the nonprofit Prevention Point collected more used syringes than it distributed new ones – a first in its 30-year history. Polysubstance use has increased by 30% in the mid-Atlantic region, Gaudenzia found.
