Opinion: US' Restrict Act to ban TikTok is more dangerous and overreaching than the Patriot Act

Under the pretext of national security and banning TikTok, US lawmakers have proposed the RESTRICT Act. Digital rights activists argue that it does very little to protect US citizens from surveillance, and gives unchecked power to the President to ban any tech, haphazardly.
