Opinion: Uncomfortable reality for Biden

President Joe Biden told the nation Thursday that American leadership plays a vital role in holding the world together, in an echo of the closing days of World War II when President Franklin D. Roosevelt envisioned the US and other great powers acting to keep the peace. But the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East show the limits of that view.
