A little over a year ago, I arrived in Kenora for the second time to begin my second stint here. This time as the editor of the town’s newspaper of record for 140 years.
I was living out at my camp to start before moving into town. I found out that the
Miner’s office had been vacated and I was to work from home. Well, I had no internet out at camp. To boot, the water pump decided it wasn’t going to work. Luckily, my neighbours graciously allowed me to use their internet, and eventually, my dad got the water turned on. However, amid all the hiccups to start, I remember thinking to myself, “it seems like no one wants me to do this job.”
