To the Editor:
Perhaps the County Chamber needs to do a little more research before publishing their guidelines for businesses, stating that they can require masks and proof of full vaccination. In the first place, HIPPA laws forbid the denial of services based on a person’s medical records, which are also protected for privacy.
The FDA’s Emergency Use Authorization for these covid vaccines, which is NOT the same as approval, cannot therefore be made mandatory, and REQUIRE informed consent, because they are still experimental. Moreover, they do not guarantee protection from infection nor transmission capability, so elevating the vaccinated into a preferred class is absolutely ridiculous.
