Opinion: Just be patient and we will put the coronavirus behind us

Americans' impatience is showing as COVID-19 cases are rising throughout the United States. We are on the cusp of getting enough Americans vaccinated to achieve sufficient collective immunity to get back to a reasonable normal.
There is so much great news on the vaccine front. According to the Centers for Disease Control, 154 million vaccines have been administered in the U.S. We are averaging nearly 3 million shots in arms daily. The Biden administration's goal of every adult in the U.S. being eligible for vaccination by May 1 is well within reach. And Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has lowered the eligible age for getting vaccinated to 16 years old.
