The Connecticut state legislature should not legalize recreational marijuana because the drug will have harmful effects on the public health of residents.
In 2015, someone I knew became addicted to marijuana and I witnessed the ways the drug negatively impacted that person’s life. This experience prompted me to research the effects of marijuana extensively as a student at Central Connecticut State University.
