Operation Red Ice nets 11 meth, heroine arrests in Henderson, Decatur, Carroll counties
LEXINGTON – The sale and distribution of methamphetamines and heroine in the areas in and surrounding Henderson, Decatur, Benton and Carroll counties is still a serious problem.
It’s one local law enforcement agencies plan to deal with as severely as possible to separate the substances from the addicts who endanger their lives with their use, and Operation Red Ice is the most recent plan that’s been executed to remove some of the dealers involved in the scheme.
Jody Pickens, the 26th District Attorney that includes Madison, Henderson and Chester counties, announced on Wednesday the indictment of 18 individuals who were identified as being involved in selling and distributions. As of noon on Wednesday, 11 of the 18 people had been arrested, and the hunt was on for the other seven.
