Open house planned to learn about transmission line project near Lake Mary

Douglas County residents, especially those who live in Lake Mary, Hudson and LaGrand Townships, are invited to an open house to learn about an electric transmission facility project.
Great River Energy is proposing to build 1.4 miles of transmission line and Runestone Electric Association is planning to rebuild its Lake Mary electric substation. The total cost of the project is estimated at $2.8 million – $1.4 for the transmission line and $1.4 for the new substation.
