ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Typically when someone comes to the Open Door Mission seeking help, they’re asked to complete a thorough registration process.
"When they arrive, they'll ring the doorbell, we'll bring them in, we'll stop them at the front desk, we'll get their info,” Ramon Cintron, director of community services for Rochester’s Open Door Mission, said. “So name, date of birth, and we'll get them registered in our system, which also includes a picture for our database."
That process was not completed early Wednesday morning when an unidentified man came in. Open Door Mission staff members say the man did not give them enough time to complete the standard registration process.
