Meanwhile, Super Specialty Paediatric Hospital & Post Graduate Teaching Institute (SSPHPGTI) — popularly called Child PGI — is preparing to turn into a Covid hospital. It will start its services with 50 beds, including 10 ICU beds. The hospital on Friday said any child found positive for Covid-19 can be admitted with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, the nodal officer in-charge of Covid care in the district, Narendra Bhooshan, directed all L1 category hospitals to be converted into L2 facilities at the earliest. Also, L1 facilities will be equipped with oxygen support.
“The OPD services are shut but the vaccinations will continue,” said Dr Ajit Kumar, spokesperson, Sharda hospital. He added that those who require routine treatment in OPD will be provided a telemedicine facility while only serious patients will be treated in emergency.
