The MPP for Chatham-Kent-Leamington would give his government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic an A-.
“People have to realize that with this pandemic … there was no playbook,” Rick Nicholls said in a wide-ranging year-end interview a few days before Premier Doug Ford announced a province-wide lockdown.

“We’ve had to respond accordingly, whether it be societal, whether it be economic, whether it be the health and wellbeing of people. Are there areas where we could have done better? Sure there are. That’s why I’m giving us an A- on that.”
