One person has been taken to Nelson Hospital after a car and truck collided at the intersection of State Highway 60 and Maisey Rd.
St John communications adviser Gerard Campbell said the patient was taken by ambulance from the scene with moderate injuries.
A police spokeswoman said police were notified about 9.30am on Monday of the collision between a car and a truck. The road was closed while emergency services worked at the scene with traffic diverted temporarily along Westdale Rd, she said.
