One person dead in Northland crash, part of SH1 closed

One person has died after a serious crash involving a truck and car.
The crash on State Highway 1, near Northland’s Kaiwaka, was reported at 1:40pm on Thursday.
Three other people have sustained injuries, with one person in a serious condition and two others sustaining moderate injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit is examining the scene.
As a result, State Highway 1 is closed between Kaiwaka-Mangawhai Rd and Mangawhai Rd, Te Hana.
