A young man was treated at UPMC Williamsport pm Monday night after being shot in the leg in or near Flanigan Park at Little League Boulevard and Walnut Street, city police confirmed. The victim’s identity was not released.
No arrest has been made.
Police responded to the park for a report of shots fired about 8:15 p.m., Capt. Justin Snyder said in a brief press release.
“While on the scene, officers were able to locate evidence of a shooting, and canvassed the area for any witnesses,” Snyder said.
A short time later, police received a call from the hospital reporting that a gunshot victim had arrived at the emergency room, Snyder said. The victim has since been discharged from the medical facility.
