Wonderful Life presented as a live radio play

George Bailey suffered hearing loss after rescuing his brother from drownng in an icy pond.
The Fauquier Community Theatre this weekend will present “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” in the manner of a 1940s broadcast — streamed virtually.
More than 35 local actors will bring to life the story of idealistic George Bailey as he considers what’s meaningful in life on that fateful Christmas Eve in 1946.
All the actors will be seen in the broadcast in costumes of the era as well as the Foley artists who will be producing the sound effects.
Online performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20.
