A University of Central Oklahoma art professor and her students have found a special way to recognize the work of our local health care workers in taking care of us during this pandemic.
I really love the message and symbolism behind a project that Kelly Temple started and involved her UCO College of Fine Art and Design students in crafting: The group created nearly 300 small, wearable hand-shaped medals for our health care workers as part of the international collaboration called the Hand Medal Project. Temple has a master’s degree in fine arts and is a metalsmith and assistant professor of jewelry.
