NSUI leaders put garland of shoes on Savarkar’s statue at Delhi University’s North campus

Congress-backed National Students' Union of India (NSUI) leaders on Wednesday midnight shoe garlanded the statue of Veer Savarkar at the North campus of Delhi University. This came after RSS affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) had installed Savarkar’s statue without administration permission. According to reports, around 20 NSUI student shouting Bhagat Singh and Subhash Chandra Bose slogans defaced the statue.
