Olympic showjumper and lover in 'violent attack on woman groom'

An Olympic showjumper held down a woman groom while his lover attacked her, a court heard yesterday.
Benjamin Maher and Kathleen Baker set upon Megan Pugh in a pub after an exhibition event at Hickstead.
The jury heard there was 'bad blood' between the two women and they had clashed earlier in the day at the showjumping ground in West Sussex. 
Accused: A court heard that Benjamin Maher, punched a woman groom in the face, and that Kathleen Baker, lashed out and kicked her with her high heels
Giving evidence, Miss Pugh said she had gone to the pub with friends after finishing work.
