Officers are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Newton Heath yesterday (Wednesday).
At around 5.40pm yesterday, police received a report of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Scotland Hall Road.
Emergency services attended and established that a 30-year-old man and a vehicle had been involved in a collision.
He is currently being treated in hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The vehicle, believed to be a grey or silver hatchback, failed to stop at the scene and an investigation is underway.
No arrests have been made.
Road closures are no longer in place.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has footage from around the area at the time of the collision is urged to contact police.
