Organizers were unsure if the annual Old Town Classic Car Cruise would happen.
“Actually we were really excited to have this event still happen this year,” said Tracy Kurtz, Public Relations Representative for Turtle Creek. “We love to kick off the National Cherry Festival with the classic car show. It’s been wonderful, we’ve done it for years and it get bigger every single year. More cars. More fun.”
Typically the cruise is about 100 cars long.
For those that come back year after year it’s not the cars that bring them back, but the people.
“They call it a car show but it’s actually a people show. They use cars as an excuse to get together. So it’s very social. You see a lot of beautiful, beautiful vehicles and a lot of proud people,” says participant John Russell.
