Oklahoma teachers living in fear over restrictive state law

Boismier’s case is the focal point of why Oklahoma educators believe this is a troubled, frightening time to be a teacher. Many are confounded by House Bill 1775, passed last October, which prohibits schools from teaching the “concept” that “any individual should feel discomfort, guilt, anguish or any other form of psychological distress on account of his or her race or sex,” among other provisions.
