OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Three agencies within the Oklahoma State Department of Health have new leaders, according to a statement from the department.
Deputy state epidemiologist Jolianna Stone will become become state epidemiologist, Dr. Jared Taylor moves from state epidemiologist to chief science officer and Dr. Gitanjali Pai has been appointed chief medical officer.
“These three positions are particularly crucial right now as we strive to learn from the COVID-19 pandemic and improve our response to future pandemics," health Commissioner Dr. Lance Frye said in the Monday statement. "I’m confident they’re the right people for the job, and I look forward to working with them to protect the health and wellness of Oklahomans.”
