Determined to solve a mystery, Sophie Proctor and Josh Escayg cautiously approach the fierce-faced bird sculpture perched on a stone dais.
"What's with the owl?" wonders Escayg.
"The statues have to have something to do with it," Proctor muses.
Encompassed by green screens, the teen actors suddenly duck and dodge in response to shouted cues on the set of the family fantasy film "Ghoster."
"That's pretty good. Cut. Technically, I'm feeling pretty good about it. ... The main thing is, that's not the only place that these statues are, right? They're here, here, here, here, so you can look around more. When they all come slamming down on the ground, it would be like five 50-foot statues," says director Ryan Bellgardt, moving around the owl's perch as he coaches the performers.
