A South Okanagan high school is reporting it’s first COVID-19 infection.
Interior Health reports South Okanagan Secondary School in Oliver had potential exposures to the virus on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.
Okanagan Similkameen school district superintendent Bev Young says a member of the South Okanagan high school community has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now self-islolating at home.
Young says only one case has been confirmed at this time. The school district is working with Interior Health to contact any individuals who may have been exposed.
This is the first case of COVID-19 reported in School District 53.
