Ohio man, charged in stabbing, threatened to set wife on fire in 2001

RAVENNA — An Ohio man who served nearly 12 years in prison for dousing his wife in kerosene and threatening to set her on fire, is now charged with attempted murder in the stabbing of a relative of another woman he had attacked last September.
Patrick M. Boggs, 51, of Ravenna, was free on bond after pleading guilty March 1 to domestic violence involving the second woman.
Ravenna Police Capt. Jake Smallfield said Boggs stabbed a relative of the second woman in the neck and chest after breaking into the relative's apartment early Tuesday morning.
Police said Boggs was identified by the victim and was arrested at about 11 a.m. Tuesday by an off-duty officer at a discount store in Ravenna. He is being held in the Portage County Jail.
