COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio House Republicans are proposing to cut taxes while also incorporating what lawmakers hope will be a permanent fix of the state’s long-criticized formula for funding K-12 schools, under a new rewrite of Gov. Mike DeWine’s state budget bill.
The substitute budget bill, introduced Tuesday by the Ohio House Finance Committee, proposes cutting income taxes by 2%, costing the state $380 million annually.
