Ganiyu Oyedeji, lawmaker representing Ifo II, who sponsored the bill, presented the report of the committee on agriculture and forestry during plenary session on Thursday.
Oyedeji moved the motion for the adoption of the report, and was supported by Sola Adams, lawmaker representing Ijebu-east.
A section of the bill prescribes a three-year jail term without an option of fine, including the forfeiture of the herds of cattle or livestock to the state government, if such animals are found to be grazing outside the permitted ranches.

Yusuf Sherif, lawmaker representing Ado Odo/Ota I, moved the motion for the third reading of the bill, and was supported by Wahab Haruna, member representing Yewa North II.
