Officials: Nassau, Suffolk COVID funds appear safe from debt bill clawback

The debt-ceiling bill rescinds $28 billion in COVID-19 and other federal funds, but is not expected to claw back any of the more than $600 million awarded to Nassau and Suffolk counties.
