The National Weather Service in Jackson confirmed Thursday morning that four tornadoes were produced during the storms Tuesday.
According to a Tweet by the agency, there were no reported injuries or deaths from the twisters.
Officials said an EF-1 tornado with peak winds of 110 mph passed through parts of north Jackson. The tornado touched down northwest of Brownsville, traveling some 31 miles over the course of 30 minutes before crossing Interstate 55 and the Pearl River.
An EF-1 tornado was seen crossing U.S. Highway 49 near Piney Woods. The tornado traveled almost 10 miles in a span of 30 minutes with peak winds of 90 mph.
