Off-duty Bay Area pilot told cockpit crew 'I'm not OK' before trying to shut off engines in flight

Off-duty pilot Joseph D. Emerson was arraigned and placed on suicide watch. He said he took "magic mushrooms" 48 hours before hitching a ride and trying to crash the plane mid-flight.
