Odisha is set to become a hub for cancer care in eastern India, according to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. The state has recently inaugurated new facilities at the Acharya Harihar Post Graduate Institute of Cancer in Cuttack, including two linear accelerators for radiotherapy and a 30-bed day-care unit. The government's focus is to develop infrastructure for cancer care in public health institutions and attract private investment in the development of cancer care hospitals.
