Oak Park police: Buyer robbed at gunpoint after arranging to purchase gaming console [Pioneer Press Newspapers, Suburban Chicago]
Jan. 5—A Chicago resident who arranged to purchase a video game console from a seller in Oak Park was robbed at gunpoint during the transaction on New Year’s Day, police said.
The buyer had made arrangements to purchase a PlayStation 5 game console in the 100 block of South Taylor in Oak Park, police said.
Upon arriving in Oak Park, the buyer was approached at 9:50 p.m. by a man holding a black handgun, police said. The gunman stole $140 in cash from the buyer and fled the scene, police said.
