'No fund' for vaccines dismays San Simon vice-mayor

SAN Simon Vice Mayor Leonora Wong expressed disappointment over the local government's alleged decision "not to allocate funds" for the procurement of vaccines against coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
Wong said that as of last week of March, the local government is yet to plan for the purchase of its own Covid-19 vaccines for its people.
"The Sangguniang Bayan has not adopted any resolution for the purchase of vaccines so I don't we have plans to do so," said Wong.
She added that the local government has around a P13.5-million balance from last year but most was allocated for the ongoing construction of the municipal hall.
