Eric Murray and Hamish Bond were two-time winners of the men's pair rowing at the Olympics.
The video then cuts to Murray watching the women’s eight rowing team battle it out in their final to take home the silver medal, before cutting to the men's eight final race.
The video shows him standing up, alongside his TVNZ co-hosts, and cheering for the men’s team – of which one of the rowers is Murray's former pairs partner and medallist Hamish Bond.
“Come on,” he shouts. “We're going to get it, we’re going to get it,” he exclaims as Toni Street and Wendy Petrie cheer for the team alongside him.
