New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday alleged that there is no democracy in India while adding that it can be our imagination but it does not exist in reality in India. Earlier today, 50-60 Congress leaders were taken into police custody after they were denied permission to hold a march against the farm laws.
The party staged protests at the Congress headquarters after they were prevented from marching towards Rashtrapati Bhavan. Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and party MPs and other leaders staged a sit-in protest outside their office and were detained by the Delhi Police for violating prohibitory orders. The Delhi Police imposed Section 144 CrPC around the Rashtrapati Bhavan, including the Congress office, after which the protesting Congress leaders were detained and taken to Mandir Marg police station.
