Intensive Care Unit nurse Michael Cress ate a hand full of almonds during his 12-hour shift Monday at Tennova Healthcare.
Thanks to O'Charley's Restaurant, Tuesday was a tad tastier. Cress was one of approximately 200 hospital staff members that received free meals from the casual dining restaurant's Clarksville location — freshly-cooked burgers, bags of chips and bottled waters.
Hospital staff smelled the burgers as O'Charley's crew members set up near the hospital's loading dock.
Jeannie Rodriguez, an administrative assistant for surgical services, said the gesture showed yet another example of community support.
"I love this," Rodriguez said while holding five meals for herself and colleagues. "It shows how much they appreciate our staff."
