NYC A-train subway attacker hits woman, bites cop: Police

James Melbourne, who was once accused of biting a man’s thumb so hard he ripped the victim’s nail off, was arrested about 12:50 p.m. Friday at the Columbus Circle station. He punched the woman hard enough to bruise her face on a southbound A train, which makes a long express run from W. 125th St. south to Columbus Circle, said cops.
