The Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO), led by executives and members of staff, raised funds to donate 600 items of cleaning products and disinfectant as well as a financial contribution to the Venerable Thawisak Jutindharo Hospital, a care unit in charge of Erawan 1 Field Hospital.
The assistance will help alleviate the burden of providing necessities for Covid-19 patients and provide moral support for medical personnel who are performing their duties for all Thai people.
Amid the spread of Covid-19 in Thailand, NXPO has driven many proposals, policies, measures, and studies on the virus, including: a report on Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Measures for economic and social rehabilitation and reform; Recovery Forum, where experts from the public, private, and education sectors joined forces to discuss and propose solutions to revitalise the country; a study and report on the future outlook for Thailand and guidelines for post-crisis response; and a report on post-Covid development trends in higher education, science, research, and innovation.
