Citing data from OCTA Research Team, the local government said it only reported an average number of 743 new cases from April 20 to 26. The number is lower than 1,183 average cases from March 30 to April 5, which was considered the peak of COVID-19 surge in the country.
From a reproduction of 1.59, the latest reproduction number is now at 1.23, which is closer to the recommended reproduction number of the World Health Organization of less than 1.
The positivity rate is slightly lower at 21 percent from 26 percent while the daily attack rate per 100,000 population was pegged at 23.60 percent.
