Women in the NSW Police force say a vulgar “boys’ club” culture enables discrimination and harassment despite a 2019 pledge by the Police Commissioner to clamp down on men abusing their power.

Sun-Herald investigation has uncovered allegations of inappropriate sexual behaviour by senior NSW Police detailed in recent investigations and bolstered by officers who say the boys’ club protects serial offenders against internal complaints.
Belynda Rocha, who joined NSW Police aged 19, claims that sexual harassment and affairs have been “treated like a joke” because of a “boys club culture”.
